The Detail ( is a multi award-winning investigative news and analysis website.
It was launched in March 2011 by Belfast-based independent TV and online production company Below the Radar.

The Detail’s stories focus on matters of public interest and are delivered in text, audio, video and interactive graphics.

The site has conducted special investigations into a wide range of issues including health care, education, politics, the rule of law and prisons. It has also produced a series of reports on the decades of conflict in Northern Ireland for a special project entitled The Legacy.

The Detail has won international recognition for its data journalism, which is now a key element of the site’s content.

Its journalism is freely available to the public and to other media outlets and The Detail’s reporters are often asked to commentate on current affairs for national and international audiences.
