Denise O'Connor joined Below the Radar in 2007. Denise has produced and directed some of Below the Radar's most hard-hitting output such as 'Life Inside', a four-part observational documentary series which focused on Northern Ireland's much-criticized Prison Service. More recently Denise produced and directed 'Abortion Wars' – a documentary looking behind the scenes of a very incendiary topic in NI where abortion is still illegal. She has also series produced a quick turnaround strip series, 'On the Brink', which went behind the scenes of NI's Citizen's Advice Bureaux to tracking those worst affected by the recession. Denise is currently making a one hour film looking at the legacy of the Holy Cross protest, for the tenth anniversary.
Recently Denise has been successful in gaining a place on the Series Producer Programme, which is funded by TRC Media and the BBC.
